Returns and refunds

You have 30 days from delivery to send an order back. No restocking fee, no reason required, and no form to fill in. One email starts it.

The 30-day window

The window runs for 30 days from the date the carrier records your order as delivered, not from the date you ordered. We need your email asking to return within those 30 days; the parcel itself can be posted after the window closes as long as it is on its way within 14 days of us replying.

Picks are small and they get lost in a drawer. If you are past the window, email us anyway and say so. We would rather sort it out than hide behind a date.

What we can take back

Unopened packs come back for a full refund of the item price.

Opened packs are refundable too, as long as the picks are undamaged. Play-testing a pick is not damage. That is the point of buying one. Filed, cut, melted or snapped picks are not refundable, because we cannot resell them and we cannot tell a manufacturing fault from a modification after the fact.

Faulty or wrong items are refunded in full including the shipping you paid, and we cover the return postage. Send a photo with your email and you can usually skip posting the item back at all.

How to start a return

  1. Step one

Email returns@tridentpicks.com with your order number and which items you are sending back. The order number is in your confirmation email and starts with TP.

  2. Step two

We reply within one business day with the return address and a reference to write on the parcel. Do not post anything before you have that reference. Unlabelled parcels take weeks to match back to an order.

  3. Step three

Post it back with tracking you can see, and keep the receipt until the refund lands.

Who pays return postage

If you changed your mind, return postage is yours. Picks weigh almost nothing, so a plain stamped envelope is usually enough; you do not need a courier. Until the parcel reaches us it is your responsibility, which is the only reason we ask for tracking.

If the item was faulty, damaged in transit or simply not what you ordered, the postage is ours. Tell us what it cost and we refund it with the order.

Refunds and exchanges

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within three business days of the return arriving. Your bank then takes its own time, five to ten business days is normal, and we cannot speed that part up.

We refund the item price and any tax charged on it. Original shipping is refunded only when the return is our fault. If your order qualified for free Standard shipping and a partial return drops the remaining order below the free-shipping threshold, we do not claw the $5.99 back out of your refund.

We do not run formal exchanges, because it is slower for you than the alternative: return what you have for a refund and order the series you actually want, and the two cross in the post rather than queue behind each other. If you are switching between series, the FAQ explains how the three materials differ.

None of this affects your statutory rights, including any cancellation right you have under the consumer law of your own country. Where that law gives you longer than 30 days or a better outcome than this policy, the law wins.
