The agreement
Terms of sale
These terms apply when you buy from tridentpicks.com. They are written to be read, so they are short. Placing an order means you accept them.
Last updated 28 July 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
The seller is Trident Picks, and “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business. “You” means the person placing the order. If you are ordering for a company or a shop, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.
2. Orders
Adding items to your cart and paying is an offer to buy. The confirmation email that follows is an acknowledgement, not acceptance. The contract forms when we dispatch the order. Until then we may decline it, most commonly because an item has sold out or because the price shown was wrong.
If we decline an order or cancel it after payment, you get a full refund of everything you paid, including shipping. We owe you the refund; we do not owe you the difference between our price and someone else’s.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are in United States dollars and exclude sales tax, which is calculated at checkout where it applies. Shipping is added at checkout unless your order qualifies for free Standard shipping at $50.00 or more; the shipping page sets out every rate.
Payments are taken by Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us, so any card-security question is between you and your bank or Stripe. We may change prices at any time, but never for an order already placed.
Import duty, VAT and customs handling fees on international orders are yours to pay. They are charged by the destination country on arrival and are not part of the total you see at checkout.
4. Delivery
Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees; carriers have bad weeks. Risk of loss and title pass to you when the carrier delivers the parcel, but read the shipping page before that worries you, because a parcel that goes missing in transit is replaced or refunded by us, not written off to you.
5. Returns
You may return an order within 30 days of delivery on the terms set out on the returns page, which forms part of these terms. Nothing there limits any statutory cancellation or refund right you have under the consumer law of your own country.
6. Accounts
You do not need an account to buy. If you make one, keep the password to yourself and give us details that are true. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised. We may close an account used for fraud or abuse, and we will tell you why.
7. Our intellectual property
The three-tine pick design is covered by a granted United States patent, which is why the picks and this site are marked Patented rather than patent pending. The Trident Picks name, logo, site copy, photography and 3D assets belong to us.
Buying a pick buys you the pick. It does not license you to copy the design, to make or sell picks based on it, or to use our name or images to promote anything of your own. Reviewing, filming, photographing and demonstrating picks you have bought is welcome and needs no permission from us.
8. Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site, attempt to break its security, resell our picks as your own brand without a wholesale agreement, or use the contact form to send bulk or automated messages. Wholesale enquiries are genuinely welcome. Email zeus@tridentpicks.com.
9. What we promise about the picks
Every pick is warranted against manufacturing defects for the 30-day return window: if one arrives cracked, malformed or wrongly finished, we replace or refund it. Picks are consumable. Nylon, acrylic and POM all wear against a string, and normal wear is not a defect.
Beyond that warranty and beyond any right your local consumer law gives you, the picks are sold as they are, and we do not promise that a particular series will suit a particular player, guitar or genre. That is what the FAQ and the Variety Pack are for.
10. Liability
Our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss: a missed gig, a lost recording session, lost profit.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. If you are a consumer, your non-excludable statutory rights stand whatever this section says.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country, or of the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
12. Changes
We can change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, so a later edit never reaches backwards into a purchase you have already made. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
13. Talking to us
Anything about these terms, an order or a return goes to support@tridentpicks.com. A real person answers within one business day, and most things that look like a legal problem turn out to be a parcel problem.
